How did parliment punish the colonists for the Boston Tea Party?

The Boston Tea Party happened because of the tea act. The colonists dressed as indians and went to the Boston Harber, poured the tea crates into the harber. But my question is How did parliment punish the colonist for the Boston Tea Party?

  2. The British government felt this was an action which could not be unpunished and responded by closing the port of Boston and put in place other laws that were known as the "Intolerable Acts," also called the Coercive Acts, or Punitive Acts. In addition, John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Joseph Warren, and Benjamin Church were charged with the "Crime of High Treason
  3. The "Intolerable" Acts: Quartering Act - soldiers could stay with colonists Boston Port Act - Boston harbor was closed until the colonists paid for the tea they destroyed Massachusetts Government Act - positions in the government of Massachusetts were appointed by the king Administration of Justice Act - British officers accused of a crime could move thier trial to another colony or back to Great Britain
  4. Ultimately, INVASION. It was the pre-lude 2 the Revolutionary War. Parliament had little power 2 "punish the colonists" unless they got them over there (England).
