Why does round table put those plastic tables on the pizzas?

Every time I order a Pizza from round table I get those little plastic tables in the center. It's not like I use it, does anyone? Are you supposed to put a slice of pizza on it? This is driving my crazy! I remember in elementary school me and my friends would always ask the cafeteria lady for them and we would see who would get them.

1. They're there so they can stack pizza boxes on top of each other without the weight of the pizza smashing the top of the box down onto the cheese and toppings. ;o)
2. They keep the cover of the pizza box from touching the pizza. The cheese and sauce would stick to it, otherwise.

4. so the top of the box can not cave in and smash the pizza
