Why do tables and chairs HAVE to match?
Seriously. Why is it necessary for tables and chairs to match? I just don't get it. I really don't get it. Someone in my life is obsessing over getting rid of AN amazing table just to get new chairs from a relative. In which we are going to be getting a crappy table. Ugh! Help me out here please.

- They don't *have* to match exactly, but it looks better if they go together somewhat. If the styles are similar enough (or if you don't care what anyone thinks), you can keep the table.
- Because we live in a world where everybody thinks that everything has to be uniform. I have 3 different chairs that I got because I liked them. None of them match AND I don't even have a table yet! When I find "the one" though, I'll have chairs!!LOL! So I agree with you.
- Apparently the other person in your life says so. But if the chairs look ok with your existing table why not keep it?
- The don' t just buy new chairs
- Rule #48.
- My grandmaw had this amazing table. And the chairs didn't match and the set looked amazing. She bought it seperate though.
- they dont have to match, if you dont want them too, just cover the table with some fabric that matches the chairs?
