The Mexican American Political Association and the Southern California Immigration Coalition demonstrated outside Monday night's NBA playoff game at the Staples Center. The groups are angry with the position Lakers coach, Phil Jackson, recently took on the immigration debate. Jackson was asked two weeks ago about the Phoenix Suns wearing their Los Suns jerseys in protest during a playoff game. He said Arizona was taking federal law and putting some bite into it. This led the "Big Three" in Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili and the USA assistant coach Popovich to all be fatigued by 2004 playoff time. Duncan's knee in the regular season in 2001 and 2002 after the 2000 knee surgery was just fine. It was just when the Spurs got deep into the playoffs, then Duncan could no longer run normally, could not jump, and was basically operating on one leg. It was a mistake for Coach Popovich to let his top 3 players play internationally so much in 2002 and 2003 offseasons, but then Coach Pop was coaching also in 2002 and 2003 internationally on Team USA. No Spurs player will play in the 2008 Olympics, not Tony Parker, not Manu, and not Oberto who all played for their home countries in the 2004 Olympics as did Duncan in 2004.

If Lakers lose in NBA finals would it prove that Lebron is still best player in the NBA? If Lakers lose this year, then I can't say Kobe is better than Lebron. In Kobe first 3 championship runs he was the second option to Shaq who was the best player in the game at that time and he had the best coach whoever coached in NBA in Phil Jackson. Why are all these teams trying to steal Laker assistant coaches? First, they said that Kurt Rambis was an option for the head coaching job in Phoenix. Now, they are saying that the Bulls are considering Brian Shaw for their head coaching vacancy.
